im sitting on a ball of pus

..........no, really. i am. i have what is called a pilonidal cyst, that has become infected, closed up, and filled with pus. according to a lovely medical website, a pilonidal cyst is: "A small, hair containing skin sac at the base of the spine. The cyst looks like a small opening, sometimes no more than a simple with a few hairs protruding. The cyst is a minor abnormality that occurs during fetal development. Infection is usually caused by staphylococcal bacteria."

so all of a sudden, one day when i sit on my tailbone funny, it causes this fucking thing to become prone to infection, and voila! it does. what mine is doing is getting bigger and bigger every day, without showing signs of popping. because as gross as it would be, if would feel fan-fucking-tastic as compared to how i feel now. every time i move, im jostling this infected ball of pus attached to my spine. its not going away. i hope it pops, or i may have someone at the ER drain it for me, before i go and have surgery....cause this is beyond freakin painful. having a child would be a piece of cake compared to this...

lovely. so this has been my past few days. learning why im in so much pain, having it get worse, and being told i eventually need surgery. i cant wait. hope your weeks were better than mine! pax.
